Allan's Alley presents "The High Life," a collection of L.A. stories from the 70s and 80s as told by Allan. It recounts his beginnings as a bar owner of Pearlies Gate in New Rochelle, NY, while still at Iona College. After college, Allan heads to Los Angeles with dreams of acting on a TV show. Instead he makes a name for himself as a bartender.

In 2011, after listening to countless stories, Cheryl tells Allan that his stories should be recorded. The two talk about creating a character based on Allan's past in the restaurant/bar/night club industry in the 70s and 80s. Allan coins the title 'The High Life.' But the two are busy with a for-profit 'green' business startup and the nonprofit Save the Water plus their respective careers. By 2013, Allan is battling cancer. Sadly, there are just a few recordings. Yet, the two had countless discussions from who would play Allan's TV character to many variations on the show concept. Although too painful to think about, Allan's passion for life lives on as he would want it to be. - Inspired by and in loving memory of Allan.
